Jardin des Deux Rives, 20 years, September 14, 2024

This anniversary is an opportunity to discover or rediscover this park, a cross-border space between Strasbourg and Kehl, linked by the Deux Rives footbridge. Laid out in 2004, the park features ephemeral gardens, lawns, tree-lined areas and more.

On Saturday, September 14, a rich and varied program is on offer to celebrate this twentieth anniversary, for all ages! 

Strasbourg side

1:30pm Concert by Zagara 
2:30 p.m. Anniversary gesture,
3:00 pm Musical snack,
Accompanied by the Bal'us'trad brass band, a bubble artist and stilt-walkers, among others.

Following a tradition common to Alsace and Baden, people gather around long tables to drink coffee and enjoy a cake. Cakes and desserts to share are welcome,
4:30 pm Vegetable trainer and showman - Andrée Kupp
5:30pm Wheelbarrow parade with the Bal'us'trad brass band and stilt-walkers,
6:00 pm Public auction - Pierre Le Crieur and Sherley Freudenreich

Between 1:30 and 7:00 pm: wooden games available, treasure hunts, Franco-German guided tours of the park, printing workshop on the theme of nature, stands run by the Green Spaces and Nature Department and on European and cross-border cooperation.

From 7:00 pm, Strasbourg passes the torch to Kehl

On the banks of the Old Rhine, between the rose garden and the panoramic tower, the public strolls to meet actors, jugglers and musical sounds of all styles. While some will linger in one place and be captivated by the performances, others will prefer to stroll along the path to discover poetic, amusing and evocative scenes. Metre-high light sculptures transform the seemingly familiar into an unfamiliar imaginary landscape. Here, you'll be surprised by a blazing sky, while over there, stories are told.
